MIYABI 3 Hook Whiting Rig

Three free-running snoods. Three natural bait presentations. Precision dedicated to whiting.
Whiting fishing calls for a presentation that suits the species. MIYABI has designed a rig specifically for the task.
Developed for targeting whiting in surfcasting, the MIYABI Precision Whiting — 3 Free Snoods combines three Aberdeen hooks with snoods measuring 30, 40 and 50 cm.
This arrangement presents three natural baits at once, with independent snoods that can move freely with the water.
A particularly useful approach when searching areas frequented by whiting, especially when fish are moving in shoals.
Three Free Snoods — A Purpose-Built Design
The defining feature of this rig is its three snoods of different lengths, positioned along the main trace.
The free-running snoods allow the baits to respond to tidal movement, while their 30, 40 and 50 cm lengths provide variety in presentation.
Key features:
- 3 hooks: three baits presented simultaneously, offering more opportunities for bites.
- 3 free snoods: natural bait movement when current conditions permit.
- 30 / 40 / 50 cm snoods: three complementary presentations on a single rig.
- Whiting-focused layout: an arrangement designed for targeting this species with natural bait.
The result is a rig that puts bait presentation first and makes full use of a three-hook layout.
When to Use This Rig
This rig is particularly suited to whiting fishing:
- From beaches and sandy shorelines.
- During autumn and winter sessions.
- By day or at night.
- When conditions allow the snoods to move freely.
Recommended baits: lugworms, marine worms, fine strips of fish or squid.
For situations requiring more powerful casting and a secured bait presentation during the cast, the range also includes the MIYABI Precision Whiting Distance — 3 Hooks / 3 Clipped-Down Snoods.
